Following a consolation victory, Harris reeled in a 19th place outing in the lap feature. For the third round of the Winter Nationals on Thursday, Harris logged an 8th place finish in his heat race sending him into the B-Main. On Friday night, Clay jumped up one spot in his heat to place 2nd behind Jason Hughes.

The following night, Harris grabbed the fifth and final transfer spot in his heat which positioned him 18th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Needing to place second or better, Harris fell short with a fifth place finish.

Losing eight of his scheduled dates to bad weather, Harris tallied four wins, 17 Top-5 finishes, and 25 Top outings. Rolling off on the pole of his heat race, Harris cruised to a heat race victory which positioned him third on the starting grid for the main event after the invert.

He quickly navigated his way to the front to pick up his fourth win of the season. After suffering a blown motor in practice, Harris and the team were able to get a back-up motor installed before time trials on Friday evening. Following the 32nd fastest lap, Clay and another competitor made contact in his heat that cut down a tire.

In a stout field of 54 Late Models, Harris recorded the second fastest lap in his time trial group behind Logan Roberson before getting ran over by another competitor in his heat race.
